COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR ACOS STUDENTS

ACOS campus is open, with student support, customer service and training delivered face-to-face, virtually and/or online, operating in line with Government guidelines.

Students are strongly encouraged to protect themselves against COVID-19 with minimum two doses of a vaccination.

The following COVID-safe measures remain in place:

  • Stay 1.5 metres away from others where possible
  • Stay at home if you’re unwell
  • Observe hand hygiene

Masks are an effective control and continue to be recommended by NSW Health, particularly where social distancing is not possible.

 

Notification about COVID-19

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been deemed a household contact please stay at home and self-isolate.

Rapid Antigen Tests

Rapid Antigen Tests may be provided to students in high-risk areas or where there are work placement/delivery assessment requirements from employers.

For support accessing virtual classrooms, please call the campus on 1300 415 233 for support.

For your safety, ACOS has measures in place to limit the impact of COVID-19 at the campus. It is important that you adhere to all instructions for COVID-safety.

How do I access my ACOS student email?

Your ACOS email login details will be emailed to the email account you used upon enrolling to ACOS. Login via www.office.com using your ACOS email login details and click on Outlook.

How do I access the student learner portal?

You will be sent an invitation via email (Email used upon application) to create a new user on Axcelerate Student Portal.

How do I access Microsoft Office 365?

By signing in to your Office 365 account, you will be able to access the apps you need to get your work done and collaborate with other students and your teachers. To access your ACOS Office 365 account, you'll need the following: Access to a modern web browser (for example Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, your student ACOS email with username and password (provided to you at enrolment) How to sign in: Head to www.office.com Sign in with your ACOS student email (e.g. jane.smith@acos.edu.au) and the password.

How do I reset my student email password?

Please email info@acos.edu.au to reset your student email password.

How do I access Microsoft Teams for on-line classes?

You need to download the Microsoft Teams Desktop app via www.office.com (download according to your operating system ie. Windows or Mac). Login usng your ACOS student email credentials.

How do I get a Unique Student Identifier (USI)?

Your USI (Unique Student Identifier) is your individual education number for life. It also creates an online record of your Australian training achievements. To register for a USI visit, https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi

How do I get a Working With Children's Check (WWCC)?

If your course has a work placement component, you will be required to obtain a WWCC prior to commencement. Visit https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check. WWCC is free for student volunteers.

How do I get a NSW Police Check?

How do I get an NDIS Worker Screening Check?

Complete the ‘NDIS Worker Orientation Module’ training online https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course
