AAON to ACOS

Our Rebrand

Australian Academy of Nursing (AAON) has rebranded to Australian College of Studies (ACOS) as a response to our ever expanding suite of subject offerings.

After the success of our industry leading courses for Aged Care, Mental Health, Disability, Community Services and Business, we decided to offer a wider range of courses in the areas of Early Childhood Education and Care and Hospitality.

ACOS strives to uphold our three virtues; Scientia, Uirtus and Veritas.

Scientia (Knowledge) represents our main purpose, which is to provide an education that enables you to become an expert in your chosen industry.

Uirtus (Excellence) ensures that everything we do carries a high standard of excellence, a value we instill into our learners.

Veritas (Truth) illustrates our open and honest approach to ensure our conduct is carried out with integrity.

It is our vision that these three virtues flow throughout ACOS and vicariously through our graduates into their respective industries.

Since 2005, ACOS has connected students to serve Australian communities at every level in the aged care, disabilities and mental health care sectors — many within our network.

Our professional connections with two hospital groups; IPHOA [Independent Private Hospitals of Australia] and Macquarie Health Corporation not only serve as a cornerstone for potential employment in the aged care, community and mental health sectors, but our meticulous focus on interdisciplinary Healthcare education and workplace experience also allows us to produce the most exceptional graduates who are clinically competent in evidence-based practices.

In the same way, our industry reputation and over 95% student graduation success remains the reason why many employers come to us with their staffing requirements and graduates enjoy the best potential clinical facilitation.

To help you succeed beyond the classroom, we incorporate those very recruitment principles and educational values in our student selection process.

Adding further value to your education, we also limit the number of students for each intake so that you will receive full academic support to succeed — with each class taught by experienced practitioners and trainers from the healthcare industry.

ACOS is an educational community committed to sharing values of cultural diversity and inclusion, and fostering academic excellence and integrity in every aspect of student life. More importantly, we are your pathway to a rewarding future as a professional community or residential carer.
